#FlexinInMyComplexion: The Youngest NY Fashion Week Designer
Its all started with being bullied at school. Kheris Rogers was taunted heavily by her classmates for years. Their reason: her skin color. But that didn't stop nor slow her down; She created a t-shirt line that celebrates and embraces her skin complexion!
"Kids used to bully me because they weren't used to my skin tone," she said in an interview. "There was an incident with a teacher and we had to draw ourselves and she gave us a black crayon instead of a brown crayon, and I was really upset."
Last week she debuted her fashion line at the New York Fashion Week runway, making her the youngest ever to do it at just 11-years-old!
After being bullied for so long, her sister took to Twitter to display her love for her sister. Inspired by how much support she was receiving, little Kheris then launched her own clothing line!
Way to go girl! #FlexinInMyComplexion
