Most Fabulous Looks From The 2018 Met Gala

The Met Gala. Also known as the prom of the fashion world. The Met Gala is fashion's second favorite event following Fashion Month (NYFW, PFW, MFW), of course. Each year during spring, celebrities and socialites gather at a venue in New York City to walk the red carpet and up the iconic “Met Stairs” to show off their custom themed looks. The theme this year was Catholicism vibes and everyone got really creative.

Rihanna definitely took the number one spot for best dressed in my opinion. She was inspired by traditional pope attire while adding a sexy yet glamorous flare. The media referred to her as the female pope because she killed it with this look. Designed by Maison Margiela.

Cardi B came through with a Moschino number. Designer, Jeremy Scott was by her side wearing a matching ensemble. The piece represented the Moschino brand while respecting the Catholicism theme. It’s clear that the designer really focused on creating a gown that would be unforgettable. She looked incredible. Safe to say this is Cardi B’s year.

Blake Lively looked phenomenal in her over-the-top gown. Word on the street is it took over 600 hours to make. Say what!? You can really see the attention to detail throughout the entire piece. This is definitely one for the books. Custom designed by Versace.

Sza’s baby pink gown with gold details paired with matching knee-high boots had heads turning. She looked phenomenal in custom Versace for the event. She even wore a gorgeous gold headpiece and had gold drip face decals. Slay Sza, slay.

Amber Heard looked amazing in a red long-length gown designed by Carolina Herrera. She intensified the glamour by pairing it with a beautiful gold headpiece and added gold color on the front and tips of her hair. You know Elon Musk (her ex) was feeling some type of way.

All in all everyone looked beautiful for this star studded fashion event. The designers really went above and beyond. Versace wins in the designer category this year with many of the celebrities rocking their custom fits.
